Salem North Carolina Guest 92 Lyndas comments First thank
you so very much for the book. Winning your book was the only bright spot
in my day. I looked at the pictures of your tank . you have a beautiful
tank . The night I signed in on your page I had been searching for
some information on moorish idols . I want to find out if any one
has had any luck keeping them alive for longer than 8 or 9 months. I think
they are beautiful and I would like to have some , but I think they
are better off in the ocean.I can not wait to get your book. Thanks again

I think your book may come in handy. From : SarasotaFl Type of tank: 55gal reef
Guest 99 * Name: Celia Fagan Comments: My family has been walking and snorkeling and diving the
Pacific Islands for over 20 years. We advocate people taking care of our oceans and reefs. We do
our part in protecting it. A good web site. Thanks! :-) From : TucsonAZ Type of tank: Pacific Ocean Guest 98 * Name: Cris Welch Coments : I have had my tank going about 12 months, before this
i had a 75 for about 3 months and before that i had a 30 gal that was fish only. I have just bought
about 85 pounds of live rock and purchased a large purple base anenome(6-9
inches wide most of the time, sometimes bigger and sometimes smaller.
I have found several dark red anenomes on the rock as well as a few small
featherdusters. What kind of anenomes are those? I have not been able to find them in any of my books(I
have a ton of books-yes a book freak). I have a lot of skeleton coral in
my tank as wall as the rock. Totaling all of my rock and skeleton
coral, i probably need atleast as much more as i already have in the tank.
$$$$ has been part of the reason I have not ventured into the reef area before now.I have tried to talk to as many poeple
in the area about reef keeping but have not really been real comfortable
with what they have told me. It seems that they all contradict eachother,
which is not real cool when I am needing the "best" information now.
Htings like treating my water with calcium and other additives. Knowing
how and what to feed the anenomes. Things like that. I know what you are
thinking. I thought that someone should not get into something they
know little about. I had the opportunity to purchase some stock and
rock from a public aquarium that closed due to lack of funding. This
was the Des Moines Aquarium Center. Their stock was great, and I feel like
I paid pennies on the dollar for what I bought. This is why I have
finally jumped into the reef world. I would appreciate any information
or helpful tips you have. From : Lamoni IA Type of tank : 200 gal Oceanic Reef set up, oceanic 250 trickle

know, reef systems are not cheap, so in order to save some money to purchase more live rock, I'll try to win your

and read your book. I appreciate your desire to keep things simple
and plan on following many of your recommendations when I start my new tank.
In your book, you discuss a specific supplier of live rock with whom you were very satisfied. I
understand why you did not publish any names, but I was wondering if you
would be willing to email me this the company's name. With so many
mail order outfits advertising live rock, I would really appreciate using
one that carried such a recommendation. As I am living in a small
town in the middle of the prairie, I have no choice but to use mail order
for most of the items for my tanks. Thanks in advance. Corey Raffel From : Rochester MN Type of tank : getting ready to start up Guest 88 * Name: Jerald Douglas Comments: Hi Robert: It was a great pleasure visiting your web-site.
The content and layout are excellent. I am very carefully reviewing all of the material and literate on reef

From : Manchester Ct. Type of tank : 125 reef and 125 fish only (for now) Guest 76 * Name: Frank Birdsong Comments : I'm preparing to set up a 300+ gal acrylic reef tank
and would like to find some guidelines on a couple of particular points
of design. 1. If I use a Jaubert sand and plenum type of system in conjunction
with protein skimming, what minimum sand layer depths and plenum depth
can I use and expect success? 2. What guidelines can you offer on tank height? I'm considering
between 24 and 29 inches of water depth. If I use live sand and plenum,
the overall height dimension could get large. Do you have any strong recommendations about
maximum tank heights? BTW, I just purchased your book over the 800 phone number. Good luck on your book sales. I look forward to reading it. From : Arlington Va Type of tank : preparing for a reef tank ~ 300 gal +
