Review of Robert Metelsky"s "Simplified Reef Keeping" by Richard Londeree

Owner Tampa Bay Saltwater Richard Londeree writes:

Finally there is now a reef keeping book written for all of us to understand, I am speaking of Robert Metelskys "Simplified Reef Keeping"!
This book will guide you through all practical aspects of building, stocking and maintaining a reef tank, without the technical, non layman approach taken with most reef keeping books. With this book you get a detailed "How to" on every aspect of reef tank assembly, maintenance, livestock, in language you and I can understand.

I have read all the reef books published to date, and this book is by far the best guide available for the newbie, looking to set up and maintained a successful reef tank. Robert uses the "natural" approach we have been advocating for years with our "Package" for reef tanks. You do not need to make your reef tank experience that of a scientific and vocabulary nightmare, but simply follow his advise and you will have a happy and healthy reef tank experience. When you come home from work, rather than having to mess with your tank, using Roberts approach and the "Package" from Tampa Bay Saltwater, you will end up with a reef tank that you can watch, instead of fooling with on a daily basis, adding chemicals, doing water changes, and all the other tasks most reef gurus advocate, in reality, less is better with a reef tank.

All I do to my 210 gallon reef at home is to add fresh water every Saturday to make up for evaporation that occurs doing the week. That's it! Virtually a maintenance free system, when done with the natural approach.

Thanks Robert for coming up with a guide we can all understand and use to have the perfect reef aquarium!
