1. What size tank in gallons and aprox LxW 40 gallons approx (32" x 18" x 18")
2. Age of tank. One year as of this Sep 15th (ya!)
3. Amount of liverock aprox. lb. 40 lbs of Fiji and Gulf (mostly Fiji)
4. Substrate Y/N lb.amount, thickness, type.nah to the substrate - glass bottom for me - easy clean my friend.
5. Sump Y/N size in gallons not yet - 15 gallon sump obtained just recently, but yet to plumb in. maybe by the new year. wish me luck with the plumbing!
6. Do you use a prefilter Y/N No, my tank is PLANKTON FRIENDLY!
7. Frequency of water changes and amount changed 8 liters (5%) every week.
8. Preferred salt mix #1 is Instant Ocean, but if I can't get that, have used Tropic Marin with success.
9. Preferred additives Iodine, I make it myself (as KI), and Coralife's trace elements and Strontium/Molybdium
10. Preferred test kits RedSea and FasTest
11. Method of adding calcium Kalkwasser (from U.S.P. grade Ca(OH)2) for maintainence, calcium chloride for one-time additions (as per the Craig Bingham method - see Jeff Pohl's page or ask me for the formulae.)
12. Aprox water turnover X times per hour 10 times or better
13. Type of lighting ie: MH, FLO, NO, HO,VHO None of the above. I use antimatter explosions at 7X10 to the 12 power of Kelvin, er.. no seriously, I use PowerCompacts by Custom Sea Life (110 Watts) one 7100K and one 6700K bulb.

24. What you feel is the biggest challenge in keeping a reef tank finding good quality livestock up here in the backward-ass-country-fuck land known as Alberta, Canada - that and the damn customs dept. and our lame Canuck dollar making it nearly impossible to mail order in things. Sorry to rant.
