Also about the total cost of my tank that may want to be considered- It is not fully stocked, been stocking very slowly, and believe that this has helped avoid a lot of the more common problems that people have. I have 1 kole tang and 2 clowns for fish. All other critters are crabs, snails, and shrimp.
I bought the tank and sump used, the lights I have either been given (3, the 2 PCs and 1 fluor) or bought at garage sales (2 24" bulb lights cost a total of $1.50). I am in the finishing stages of building a CC skimmer- 4"x36" rxn chamber- will use a hagen 802 w/ venturi+ a tetra luft pump to drive air stones.
