I have a question concerning lighting my 10 k metal halide lamps give my tank a "fake" look

I have a one year new 90 gal. reef tank that is doing well but i got the lighting ( Hamilton tech metal halides 175 watt 5500k pendants)used probably pretty old so i am replacing the bulbs curious as to what you would recommend.

I am using new CSL power compacts for actinics 2x55 watt that i will be keeping I ordered two blueline 10 k metal halide bulbs to try they were recommended but they are going back they are blueline bulbs they gave my tank a very fake look compared to 5500k bulbs

I don't know if that is because of the actinics being power compacts or not I am keeping soft corals and lps no sps yet i would appreciate any info you could offer

Why don't you keep the same model 5500k?
As you know Im not a proponent of Halides so I cant really offer too much of an opinion, other than you've had success with the 5500k?

Sorry I cant be of more help on this issue.
