Gutter guard as a screen over the overflow pipes

Robert, you mention using gutter guard as a screen over the overflow pipes. What do you think about using aluminum gutter guard? It's easier to bend into a conforming cap, but I wonder how stable aluminum is in saltwater.

Any metal is a no no in saltwater.

No doubt it would leach metal into the water. If you use the plastic guard and small cable ties you'd see it works very well and easily customizable.
