Do you add the kalkwasser mix for all your evaporation?

Could you kindly advise me on the kalkwasser? Do you add the kalkwasser mix for all your evaporation? My tank capacity...about 155 Gallon.

Yes, for *all* your makeup water (evaporation) use the mixed kalkwasser. Take the time to implement my method of using the 5 gallon bucket with power head. Complete detailed instruction are in the book.

How much kalkwasser would you add in what amount of water?

1 Tablespoon per gallon (aprox)

And also how often? i use the KENT Kalkwasser powder

You would use it as needed (how much water the tank evaporates) Kent is a well known brand and will definitely serve the purpose.

I also have the Kent turbo calcium powder...but haven't used it as yet

No, don't use that. That is Calcium Chloride, rather than calcium hydroxide (kalkwasser) Calcium chloride will quickly elevate the ph alkalinity but dosnt have long lasting effects. It will essentially *spike* the water chemistry. Kalkwasser will maintain and sustain calcium levels

I used the red sea liquid calcium before and it messed around with my alkalinity

Just use regular plain kalkwasser. Read the book carefully it explains all aspects of this subject.

Since than i started using the Kent kalkwasser....my reading is around 420

420 is fine. don't get hung up in *exact* reading the tank will fluctuate just add regular kalkwasser and perform regular water changes.

Only 1...problem wish i had your book when i started out......smile we have so many so-called experts in cape town and every shop is trying to promote the brand they stocking ....lol

Yes they have those stores here too, which prompted me to write the book. I strongly recommend to use the CD as described. There is a load of information on there.
