pH spikes after water change

I'm having what I think is a problem with high pH. I have been using Kalk to top-off and I would expect a pH spike to about 8.6 after dosing, but the pH has lately never fallen below that. I just did a 15% water change, and did'nt get any change. Change water again until it's 8.4? Any safe additives to use to bring it down?

8.6 is not a problem. Apparently its where your water/salt mix wants to be. Over time (as the tank matures it will go below that) for now dont worry about it. Most hobbyists would love a steady high pH 8.6 is fine
